Dear Fellow Writer,

In my humble opinion, writers are heroes.

There, I've said it.

When you write something, you commit to a journey of self-discovery. You may learn about your subject matter, your fictional world or your characters. But most of all, you learn about yourself: what you're capable of. Basically, writing enables you to perceive who you are.

This is the real reason why the hero's journey re-appears over and over in fiction. Because it's the writer's way of making sense of his or her purpose, motivation, even destiny.

The hero's journey IS the writer's journey. And vice versa.

For the first time - The Writer and the Hero's Journey has been collated and reworked into one complete digital resource - and is only available in this form right here in Rob Parnell's Writing Academy.

Ever wanted to be able to structure a best-selling story or novel around your character's hero / heroine?

"The Hero's Journey" is the way to do it. And here's a closely guarded secret - this age old principle always works!

Stories as diverse as "Star Wars, Harry Potter, The Da Vinci Code, The Celestine Prophecy, The Color Purple, Beowulf," even "Shrek" and most good action adventure, thriller, romance, fantasy & SF and literary novels use the classic mythical 12-part journey from zero to hero as their basic plot premise.

Using "The Hero's Journey" as a template to drape your own story over is the sure-fire way to write a bestseller!

Here's what this groundbreaking course reveals:

Module One: The Heart and Mindset of the Hero / Heroine
Telling a compelling story means first establishing its parameters. Discover simple and effective ways to start a story that will always engender sympathy from your reader. In this first module we examine the hero's character and motivation and the symbolic 'call to adventure' - his separation from his ordinary world, leading him to take the necessary plot arc to reach his goals. This module will help you in all areas of fiction writing!

Module Two: Revealing the Story World
In any good story, a character must transcend his normal existence and be tested. This is the only way to ensure growth - and eventual plot resolution. In this module we discover the rules on how this metaphorical transformation can and must occur at the quarter point of the hero's journey. There's a tried and true formula for this part of your writing and using solid, familiar examples, I'll show you how great authors create this scenario.

Module Three: Re-Birth of the Writer and Our Heroes

Writing is not just a way of entertaining readers, it is also a spiritual journey of enlightenment for the writer. At the midpoint in a story both the hero and the writer must be stretched to the limits of their imagination. In this module we explore the transformation of the hero and the writer at this crucial plot point. And how we can use simple guidelines to ensure the reader is transported by our story, its plot elements and our character arc.

Module Four: The Ultimate Test and Return of the Hero

The character's ultimate reward - and thereby the reader's sense of satisfaction - is based on his / her ability to overcome appropriate obstacles and achieve the agendas set out at the beginning of the story. In this module we learn how to structure and resolve character development. How you create endings that leave your reader gasping, crying, triumphant and begging for more! It's all part of the hero's journey.
